On Solana, every swap, every transfer and every fresh wallet you fund is public. Wallet trackers and copy-trade bots read it as it lands. Blackbar gives you a private balance in SOL, USDC and USDT, so the trail stops with you.
A fresh wallet doesn't hide you if you funded it: the funding is the link. A tracker only needs public RPC data. Switch where the fresh wallets get their SOL and watch the file fall apart.
Your shielded balance sits in the pool as notes. Each one is a Poseidon commitment to amount, owner and randomness, stored as one leaf of a Merkle tree.
To spend, your browser proves you own some leaf and that money in equals money out. Groth16, about two seconds, and your keys never leave the page. The chain verifies it in about 171,000 compute units.
Spending publishes a nullifier, so the note can never be spent again. Nothing ties the nullifier back to the leaf or the deposit that funded it.
The recipient's new note travels as 88 encrypted bytes (X25519, ChaCha20-Poly1305). Only their viewing key opens it.
A private swap leaves your balance through a one-time wallet, trades on Jupiter, and comes back into your balance in the other token. The chain sees three transactions and a wallet that belongs to no one.
Amounts and timing are still public, so the app's privacy meter warns you when a swap would stand out.
Connect Phantom and sign once. Then shield SOL, USDC or USDT, send it, swap it, or fund a fresh wallet with gas included, and nothing on-chain points back to you.
